We started with one phone call.
Hudumiwa exists because of a night that never should have felt so uncertain. Here's why.
It happened to someone I know.It could happen to anyone.
A friend of mine was alone in her apartment at 3am when her body started shutting down. A severe magnesium deficiency — the kind that can paralyze you within minutes.
She called me. We were nowhere near each other, and there was nothing I could physically do. I wasn't a doctor. I couldn't drive to her. All I could do was stay on the phone.
Somewhere in that call, she remembered she had her doctor's number saved. She called him. He got her the help she needed in time.
I was only awake because I happened to be working late that night. That's the part that stayed with me — how much of her survival came down to luck. A saved contact. Someone awake on the other end of a phone. None of that is a system. It's coincidence.
The next person might not be as lucky. That's the moment Hudumiwa started — not as a business idea, but as a promise: no one should have to face a health emergency alone, hoping the right coincidences line up.
You are never alonein a health emergency.
Hudumiwa exists so that reaching a verified doctor never depends on luck — not on who you know, who's awake, or what you happen to remember at 3am.
